An industry-led group of leading law firms today announced a new alliance, evidencing a commitment by commercial law firms and lawyers to accelerate the global transition to net zero emissions:
The Net Zero Lawyers Alliance (NZLA) is an approved Accelerator for the UNFCCC Race to Zero—its goal is to reinforce, accelerate and support the implementation of internationally coherent legal frameworks and guidelines to assist transitions to net zero.
NZLA member firms recognize their role in the transition to net zero emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG), both directly, and through the legal services they provide. All members of the NZLA support the goal of achieving net zero GHG emissions by 2050 or sooner, in line with efforts to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
Draper & Draper LLC is a founding member of the NZLA.
